Truck Trailer Twist Lock – Tilt Tray Long Handle
This Truck Twistlock for tilt trays is designed to be installed in tilt tray truck beds where the twist lock needs to be lowered while the container is still on the truck.
When the tilt tray bed tilts to unload the container, the twist lock needs to remain engaged with the corner casting but also accommodate the changing angle.
The Tilt Tray twist lock has a spring-loaded plate that allows the pin to slide up within the lock while maintaining its grip on the container.
Once the bed returns to a horizontal position, the pin automatically re-engages.
This adaptation ensures the shipping container remains securely fastened throughout the tilting process and the unloading and loading of containers from a tilt tray is smooth and uninterrupted.
TWI-003 has a long handle to help avoid the combing rail on a Truck Trailer. Our corresponding truck twist lock with a standard short handle is available as product TWI-006.
This twistlock has both manual and semi-automatic modes for unlocking and re-locking during the tilting process.
